Marina Sirtis reflects on TNG in 1999

From a 1999 interview with Starlog:

I disliked quite a few first season episodes. “Angel One,” hated it. “Justice,” hated it. “Code of Honor,” hated it. There are a few that, as a woman, I objected to. After that, it really seemed to me that we found our feet.

on the other hand…

I always thought Deanna was one of the most interesting characters on the show, and maybe that was because there were still a lot of unanswered questions about her. On the other hand, that was a downside, too. There were still a lot of unanswered questions about the character and I always felt they would remain unanswered.

The movies are going to be action movies and they are never going to be about deep psychological stuff. So we don’t know many basic, fundamental things about Deanna…Ok, in “A Fistful of Datas” she was the gunslinger, but that wasn’t Deanna’s program on the holodeck. What would her program be? We never saw that.
