STLV 2016 was one to remember. One of the big highlights was, of course, Whoopi Goldberg and Nichelle Nichols sharing the stage.
Another huge highlight was getting to appear on stage with Kate Mulgrew and Bjo Trimble as part of a panel celebrating 50 years of women in Star Trek. Also on the panel were Amy Imhoff, Kayla Iacovino and Mary Czerwinski.
Our Women at Warp crew also got to meet Bjo and John Trimble and interview them for our podcast!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Trimbles, they organized the “Save Star Trek” letter writing campaign that gave TOS its third season. Bjo and John also began Lincoln Enterprises, the mail-order catalog company specializing in Trek memorabilia, which is now known as Roddenberry.com, and they both continue to be active in the fandom to this day!
